  • joint pain/injury
  • sciatica, radiating pain or neuropathy
  • carpal tunnel syndrome or tendonitis
  • difficulty recovering from physical injuries
  • digestive difficulties (like Irritable Bowel Syndrome or acid reflux)
  • weak immune function
  • hyper- or hypothyroidism
  • Raynaud’s syndrome or issues with temperature regulation
  • auto-immune disease
  • exhaustion, chronic fatigue or fibromyalgia
  • chronic urinary issues like frequency, urgency, and incontinence
  • menstrual and menopausal issues or infertility (for women)
  • loss of virility and stamina or infertility (for men)

…but your current treatments are not helping you, or that you would prefer a more natural approach?

Are you struggling with emotional and/or psychological issues, such as…

  • insomnia
  • anxiety
  • depression
  • irritability
  • frequent mood swings
  • difficulty relaxing
  • burnout from ongoing stress

…but not interested in taking pills, and not sure how to manage your mental state on your own?

Do you sense a connection between your physical and emotional challenges?

Are you frustrated that your current treatments seem to be just managing symptoms, but not addressing the root cause?

If you relate to any (or many) of these struggles, Chinese Medicine has solutions you may never have considered.

The Chinese Medicine approach to health focuses on the whole human being when diagnosing and treating any kind of issue. This means that lifestyle, diet, mindset, personal history – and even the unique physical and energetic condition with which you were born – may all be taken into account.

In my work with you, I examine you and your illness or imbalance from the lens of Chinese Medicine.  This perspective offers clues into your body’s unique patterns and the potential causes or contributing factors for your health concerns.

The acupuncture, herbs, and bodywork that I offer are not “magic pills.” In fact, the truly incredible thing about Chinese Medicine is that it’s meant to be utilized in conjunction with changes in lifestyle and attitude that only you can be responsible for making. The healing doesn’t happen without effort, and it doesn’t happen overnight. But when it happens, it can happen on deep levels that conventional medicine may fail to reach.

Chinese Medicine is based on ancient wisdom surrounding the body’s energetic system and the balance of the five elements within that system. (For more details on this, plus actions you can take right now to start your healing process, download my-ebook on the body/element relationship here.) The work we do together will focus on utilizing acupuncture and herbal medicine to rebalance the body’s systems, which may also include providing recommendations for lifestyle adjustments to contribute to the healing process.

Plus – if you’re not already convinced – the WHO (World Health Organization) has officially endorsed acupuncture as an effective treatment for 91 different health conditions, with more currently being studied.

Services offered:

  • Acupuncture: Expect to receive acupuncture as the main method of treatment, which may include electrical stimulation (E-Stim) where indicated. In many cases and when times allows, both front and back treatments are utilized.
  • Herbal medicine: Customized herbal formulas in dried “granulated” form or capsules are prescribed where indicated.
  • Cupping: Cupping creates a suction over the skin and muscles that relieves tension and pain, detoxes the body and promotes blood flow.
  • Gua Sha: Scraping of the muscles with a special tool releases tension and removes congestion from the tissues.
  • Moxibustion: The herb Chinese Mugwort is heated and used to warm specific points to promote healing, strengthen the body and relieve pain.
  • Infrared Heat: The far infrared Richway BioMat (add link here) and far infrared mineral heat lamp are used where indicated to promote blood flow, relax muscles and relieve pain. Far infrared light penetrates very deeply into the body and promotes detoxification at the cellular level.
  • Nutritional Advice: In many cases even subtle dietary changes can dramatically improve treatment results. Recommendations are made to support the body in it’s healing process.
  • Lifestyle Coaching: Oftentimes healing of the physical body involves changing certain lifestyle factors or thought-processes that may be contributing to imbalance. This can be one of the most important factors to healing.
  • Acutonics Tuning Forks: This method of treatment utilizes the healing affect of sound and vibration created by tuning forks. The forks are used over specific acupuncture points and in the body’s energetic field. The vibration works deeply in the body, prompting healing and deep and often profound relaxation.
